This is an 8 dimensional E8 polytope projected into 3D for visualization. Each shape at the intersection of 6,720 edge lines theoretically represents a fundamental physics particle (e.g. electron, quark, neutrino,...).
This view shows the 8 concentric rings of 30 vertices - the 2D Petrie projection.
The edges have an 8 dimensional length of √2.
