Laser Etched 4x4x4" Jewel Cut Optical Crystal

This is an 8 dimensional "E8 polytope" projected into 3D for visualization. The shape and size of the vertices theoretically represents a fundamental physics particle (e.g. electron, quark, neutrino,...).

There are ~1,000 of the 6,720 edges shown with an 8 dimensional length of √6. There is also a Giclee' print of this projection here.

The photo was taken with the crystal on top of an (optional) multi-color LED light base.
