It is made up of 96 vertices of the Snub 24-Cell and the 24 vertices of the 24-Cell=[16 vertex Tesseract=8-Cell and the 8 vertices of the 4-Orthoplex=16-Cell]).<\/p>\n<p>It can be generated from the 240 split real even E8 vertices using a 4&#215;8 rotation matrix:<br \/>\nx = (1, \u03c6, 0, -1, \u03c6, 0, 0, 0)<br \/>\ny = (\u03c6, 0, 1, \u03c6, 0, -1, 0, 0)<br \/>\nz = (0, 1, \u03c6, 0, -1, \u03c6, 0, 0)<br \/>\nw = (0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, \u03c6^2, 1\/\u03c6)<\/p>\n<p>where \u03c6=Golden Ratio=(1+Sqrt(5))\/2<\/p>\n<p>It is also interesting to note that the x, y, and z vectors project to a hull of the 3D Rhombic Triacontrahedron from the 6D 6 cube Hexaract (which then generates the hull of the Dodecahedron and Icosahedron Platonic solids).<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a look at the Dynkin Diagram folding of E8 to H4+H4\/\u03c6:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/MyToE\/?attachment_id=1523\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1523\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/MyToE\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/E8-H4-Fold.png\" alt=\"E8-H4-Fold\" width=\"250\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1523\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I find in folding from 8D to 4D, that the 6720 edge counts split into two sets of 3360 from E8&#8217;s 6720 length Sqrt(2), but the combined edges and vertices recreate the E8 petrie diagram perfectly.<\/p>\n<p>Some visualizations of this in 8D:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/MyToE\/?attachment_id=1486\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1486\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1486\" alt=\"E8-8D-Polytopes-2\" src=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/MyToE\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/E8-8D-Polytopes-2.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>to 4D:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/MyToE\/?attachment_id=1489\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1489\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1489\" alt=\"E8-4D-Polychora-2\" src=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/MyToE\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/E8-4D-Polychora-2.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>and also showing the Rhombic Triacontrahedron folding from 6D:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/MyToE\/?attachment_id=1499\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1499\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1499\" alt=\"E8-6D-StarPolytopes-2\" src=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/MyToE\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/E8-6D-StarPolytopes-2.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>to 3D:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/MyToE\/?attachment_id=1501\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1501\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1501\" alt=\"E8-3D-Platonic-2\" src=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/MyToE\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/E8-3D-Platonic-2.jpg\" width=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I found the rotation matrix that shows the E8 Dynkin diagram can indeed be folded to H4+H4\/\u03c6.
