{"id":17,"date":"2008-08-03T09:01:14","date_gmt":"2008-08-03T16:01:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/wordpress\/?p=17"},"modified":"2008-08-03T09:01:14","modified_gmt":"2008-08-03T16:01:14","slug":"random-e8-pics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/theToE\/2008\/08\/03\/random-e8-pics\/","title":{"rendered":"Random E8 Pics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"E8-All 28,680 edges\" href=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/e8.png\"><\/a>I thought it would be fun to start posting pictures generated from the E8Flyer.\u00a0 If you have used it and discovered any symmetries for yourself &#8211; please post them here.<\/p>\n<p>I am working on generating even more beautiful pictures based on E8 using POVray.\u00a0 We&#8217;ll see how that goes, I might even get POVray anaglyphs out of it!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been tweeking the code, fixing bugs, typos, etc.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Previously, I had added in the upper right corner of the control pannel the ability to select the triality rotation matrices (+\/-T, T12).<\/li>\n<li>There is a new description of the &#8220;construction patterns&#8221; which is corrected and simpler.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>I just added the ability to generate &#8220;All&#8221; edges (as opposed to having to select only one set of edges norm&#8217;d to some length).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is\u00a0a <a title=\"Wikipedia pic\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Image:E8a.JPG\" target=\"_blank\">pic<\/a> I uploaded to wikipedia a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n<p>The pic below\u00a0is a generated from my latest E8Flyer.nbp &#8211; it has all 28,680 edges (with the particles at the vertices scaled down in order to focus on the edges).<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"E8-All 28,680 edges\" href=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/e8.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/e8.thumbnail.png\" alt=\"E8-All 28,680 edges\" \/><\/a><a title=\"E8-All 28,680 edges\" href=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/e8.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I thought it would be fun to start posting pictures generated from the E8Flyer.\u00a0 If you have used it and discovered any symmetries for yourself &#8211; please post them here.
