The example octonion is the one (of 480) shown on the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Octonion\">octonion Wikipedia article<\/a>.<br \/>\n[wlcode]{{1, 2, 3}, {1, 4, 5}, {1, 7, 6}, {2, 4, 6}, {2, 5, 7}, {3, 4, 7}, {3, 6, 5}}[\/wlcode]<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/theToE\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/octonionMulitplication-NonFlipped-164.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3860\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/theToE\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/octonionMulitplication-NonFlipped-164.png\" alt=\"octonionMulitplication-NonFlipped-164\" width=\"600\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3860\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/theToE\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/octonionMulitplication-NonFlipped-164.png 723w, https:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/theToE\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/octonionMulitplication-NonFlipped-164-500x119.png 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 723px) 100vw, 723px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Fano Cube (as introduced by John Baez <a href=\"http:\/\/math.ucr.edu\/home\/baez\/octonions\/node4.html\">here<\/a>) is created from the ubiquiteous &#8220;Fano Plane&#8221; by keeping the Real component (e_0) of octonions and requiring that each line of the plane be shown as a hyper-plane through e_0. Each animation step is one of 7 triads representing the triality of 3 vertices in that particular octonion multiplication table:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/theToE\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/octonion-Fano_Cube.gif\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3953\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/theoryofeverything.org\/theToE\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/octonion-Fano_Cube.gif\" alt=\"octonion-Fano_Cube\" width=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3953\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sedenion\">16D sedenion<\/a> (one of many possible) used in this post uses the<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cayley%E2%80%93Dickson_construction\"> Cayley-Dickson doubling procedure<\/a> on the &#8220;parent octonion&#8221; (above).
